Joe has been writing music since he was a teenager.
"I had always enjoyed writing poetry—music was a natural extension of that. I guess it started as my way of dealing with whatever was going on in my life at the time."
Back then, getting published on a large scale meant landing a major record deal, so songwriting remained a personal passion.
"I used to record on a Tascam four-track, bouncing vocals, guitar, and keyboard down to the last remaining track—then starting over again until I ran out of room! It was a lot of fun, but the quality was really limited."
In 2019, Joe released his first album, Ebb Tide, featuring many of the songs he had written over the years. Since then, he's released several singles and begun producing and collaborating with artists from around the world.
